BSS install fire protection systems in strict accordance with relevant and latest guidelines and regulations, logging every cable run and detector location ensuring, your protection is maximized and fire is detected before it becomes out-of-hand, ensuring you and your family are kept safe.
Installation
Wireless fire alarm systems are available or for smaller domestic premises. Wireless or hard wired smoke detectors can be incorporated into your BSS intruder alarm system and still provide off site signaling to Emergency Services and key holders 24/7, or just when system is set.
We understand how important your home is to you and believe in spending that little bit of extra time during installation, to save time in the future. This ensures that when we hand your system over to you, it will be trouble and error free. You should only ever see us when we return for periodic maintenance visits.
All our equipment comes with a minimum 1 year warranty, which can be extended to 5 years on many products, for extra peace-of-mind. If a fault should occur, we won’t leave you without protection, always ensuring that a temporary solution is in place before removing equipment for warranty repairs.
When we visit your home for the initial site survey, we look at all fire protection aspects. We look carefully to see how we can route cabling, to minimise visual impact and, where necessary, can use wireless systems.
Servicing / Maintenance
BSS offer full comprehensive or basic, annual preventative maintenance packages on all systems. If the system was not initially installed by us, we will thoroughly inspect the system during a previously arranged takeover maintenance visit to ensure it is brought up to an acceptable standard.
We provide a full, 24 Hour service, 365 Days per year, with no fuss attendance, as and when required. We can provide Keyholder / Emergency Service response active 24/7, to safeguard you and your property(s) through various signaling methods.
We believe in working to suit the customers needs. We will always contact you, prior to visiting, to arrange a mutually convenient time and date for any required maintenance work.
BSS is automatically notified if any monitored system develops a fault. We’d then contact you to get the issue resolved, quickly and effectively. We also receive a daily report detailing any system activations, enabling us to be proactive, saving you hassle and inconvenience.
With fire alarm preventive maintenance, we shall attend site minimum two visits per annum, to ensure correct operation of systems. If your system comprises of 30 or more devices then we shall ensure the system is tested 100% between all visits to site per annum ensuring at least one complete system test is carried out over the course of each year. It is important to bring to light any potential faults with fire protection systems before they become an issue to avoid being without protection and stop system down time. System warranty is also extended with BSS preventive maintenance packages.
Systems
Bonthrone Security Services fire alarm systems for domestic premises ranging from single zone conventional systems with five or less devices, to multi-loop addressable/intelligent systems with 100+ devices on each loop. These are assigned to individual areas, allowing accurate incident location, should there be smoke or heat detected in any area. Repeater panels can be added on each floor, so that in the event of an alarm you can quickly identify the source of the alert.
You can sleep soundly, in the knowledge that your BSS fire protection system is keeping a watchful eye over your home.
If you are away from home, you’ll be alerted by phone, should any activations occur. 90% of cases will already be attended to by Fire Emergency Services upon receipt of call, if your system is monitored by BSS. This can be provided via any Bonthrone Security Services monitored intruder alarm system or stand-alone fire alarm communicator.
