Bonthrone Security Services provide an extensive range of intruder alarm systems for both commercial and domestic customers. Our systems are extremely versatile and can be tailored to your specific needs, be it a single home or a multi-site industrial operation.
We pride ourselves on only installing intruder alarm systems that we have found to have proven reliability and performance over time. These panels support all types of detectors, internal and external PIR detectors, window vibration sensors, magnetic door contacts, combined magnetic contact/vibration sensors and smoke/heat detectors.
All types of detectors are available in wired and wireless options. The systems can incorporate multiple control keypads, enabling your system to be tailored to your exact requirements.
All BSS systems are compatible with remote monitoring, to allow off-site signalling to 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), enabling key holder and Police response.

Commercial Intruder
Our commercial alarm systems ensure your business is protected, either from stock theft during business hours, or providing a deterrent against break-in outside working hours. If your business works shifts, we can cater for this with partitioned systems, allowing un-manned parts of your premises to remain protected, whilst staff remain in other areas of the building.
For larger systems we normally incorporate remote power supply units, to ensure system integrity across distances of over 1000 metres. This ensures that every device on the system is protected against remote signal loss, tamper and anti-masking on Grade 3 systems.
Larger commercial systems which may integrate numerous buildings or office blocks can be incorporated into one larger system to allow individual setting and unsetting of each area or setting and unsetting of all areas as a whole, thus providing the flexibility you need and ensuring customer ease of use in mind.
In addition, we can provide systems which allow you to dial into your site from anywhere, check the event log and allow total remote site monitoring.
Domestic Intruder
Our domestic Intruder detection systems can cater for all members of your family, including any pets. Our pet-friendly alarm systems using PIRs and/or perimeter protection systems ensure your pets can still have the freedom of your home, without sacrificing your properties protection. Setting and unsetting couldn’t be easier, even for part-set (securing a garage, or part of your home) and night-time set (securing down-stairs or perimeter of property), allowing you to sleep soundly.
Our more modern intruder systems can be operated by app which will send notifications and alerts to your phone and allow you to set / reset the system remotely.
We can integrate our intruder alarms with CCTV and access control. Domestic CCTV can provide you with 24/7 recording around your property and Access control, via video/audio door-entry for single, or multi-occupancy properties can ensure you know who’s coming-and-going.

About Our Services
When we conduct our initial site survey, we will look carefully to see how we can route cabling to minimise visual impact and where necessary, utilise wireless systems.
We ensure that when our engineer arrives on site, they will be able to start work straight away having been briefed by our surveyor. We will communicate as a company, ensuring that we install your system with as little inconvenience as possible.
We understand how important your home or business is to you and believe in spending that little bit of extra time during installation, to save time in the future. This ensures that when we hand your system over to you, it will be trouble and error free.
All our equipment comes with a minimum 1-year warranty, which can be extended to 5 years on many products, for extra peace-of-mind. If a fault should occur, we won’t leave you without protection, always ensuring that a temporary solution is in place before removing equipment for warranty repairs.
BSS offers full comprehensive or basic, annual preventative maintenance packages on all systems. If the system was not initially installed by us, we will thoroughly inspect the system during a previously arranged take over maintenance visit to ensure it is brought up to an acceptable standard.
We understand the wear-and-tear your systems can go through, with day-to-day use. BSS preventive maintenance programmes ensures this does not adversely affect your systems – ensuring they continue to operate smoothly and effectively, as time passes.
BSS is automatically notified if any monitored system develops a fault. We’d then contact you to get the issue resolved, quickly and effectively. We also receive a daily report detailing any system activations, enabling us to be proactive, saving you hassle and inconvenience.
Our intruder alarm preventative maintenance ensures your system(s) continue to run smoothly with two visits per annum on monitored systems and one visit per annum on most bells only systems. During this visit our engineers shall discreetly test all elements of the system, to ensure 100% operation throughout and highlight any faults or areas of the system which require attention, before they become an issue. Having your intruder alarm system maintained by BSS also extends the system warranty.
With fire alarm preventive maintenance, we shall attend site minimum two visits per annum, to ensure correct operation of systems. If your system comprises of 30 or more devices then we shall ensure the system is tested 100% between all visits to site per annum ensuring at least one complete system test is carried out over the course of each year. It is important to bring to light any potential faults with fire protection systems before they become an issue to avoid being without protection and stop system down time. System warranty is also extended with BSS preventive maintenance packages.
We provide a full, 24-hour service, 365 days per year, with no fuss attendance, as and when required. We can arrange key holder/emergency service response active 24/7, to safeguard you and your property(s) through various signalling methods including via our ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre).
